Environment: Organizational and Product Impacts

The energy we use, the transportation of raw materials, our shipping logistics, and above all the choices regarding raw materials and the entire value chain, have a significant influence on the calculation of emissions and the environmental impact of the Telema Group.

Our supplier analysis has always included a careful selection process that considers the recyclability of the materials used.
Stainless steel (AISI 304, AISI 310) accounts for 80% of the materials used across most of the Group's product lines. In recent years, our procurement department has focused on sourcing recycled and 100% recyclable steel whenever possible.

This year, we acquired a software license dedicated solely to measuring and monitoring CO₂ emissions across the entire Telema organization.

An emissions analysis for each Telema Group product is also available upon request, conducted in accordance with the GHG Protocol, with the option to extend to a more detailed Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) if required in the future.

These analyses form the foundation of Telema's continuous improvement process in reducing its environmental footprint.

Corporate Governance

Effective governance is essential for Telema to oversee the systems and functions dedicated to measuring and monitoring improvements in the environmental and social performance of both the company and the Telema Group.

The organizational chart below illustrates the main functions responsible for occupational health and safety monitoring, as well as environmental management system certification. These structures are part of Telema's organizational model, developed in compliance with Legislative Decree 231/2001, and are supported by an independent Supervisory Body (ODV) tasked with overseeing the model's operation and implementation.
